Navara Sunroof Not Initialized Error
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Nissan Navara owner experienced a 'not initialized' error with the sunroof, causing the sunblind to malfunction and the convertible top to become inoperative. The issue arose after recent general vehicle coding, which likely disrupted the sunroof settings. The suggested solution was to visit a workshop for re-initialization, which resolved the problem for a fee.

Good question! It was general vehicle coding, nothing specifically targeting the sunroof. But could it have messed with some underlying system that the sunroof relies on? Is there a reset procedure I'm missing, or am I doomed to visit a mechanic?

Yeah, mine was general coding too, and it still screwed things up. I'd bet money that's your issue. Honestly, save yourself the headache and just take it to a workshop. They can probably re-initialize it or something. I fiddled with mine for days before admitting defeat.

You're a lifesaver! Workshop it is. Turns out it was exactly what you said – the coding scrambled the sunroof settings. They re-initialized it for 75€, and it's working perfectly now. Thanks for the help!

I feel your pain. I've got a Navara myself, though a bit older. Had a similar sunroof freakout a while back. Sunblind acting possessed, roof just dead. Did the coding mess with any of the sunroof settings specifically, or was it more general vehicle stuff?
