Onix Air Suspension Failure

Hey, I've got a 2023 Chevrolet Onix with a gasoline engine that's giving me grief. Mileage is at 64679 km. The air suspension seems to have completely failed. The car won't lift, it's leaning to one side, and I'm getting an error message on the dash along with a suspension warning light. My low beams are all out of whack because of it. I pulled the error codes and it's pointing to the suspension compressor. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Summary of the thread

A 2023 Chevrolet Onix with a gasoline engine is experiencing a complete air suspension failure, causing the car to lean to one side and display error messages and a suspension warning light. The issue is suspected to be related to the suspension compressor, with error codes pointing to a possible problem with the compressor's wiring or connections. A suggested solution is to inspect the compressor plug and wiring for corrosion or damage, as similar issues have been resolved by addressing corroded connectors. If the problem persists, professional workshop assistance is recommended.

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my Audi Q7 a few years back. Same symptoms – car leaning, error messages, the whole shebang. For me, it turned out to be a corroded connector on the compressor. Have you checked the wiring and connections to the compressor? Might be worth a look before you start tearing things apart.

Yeah, I saw something about that being a possibility when I scanned the codes. Where exactly was the corroded connection on your Q7? Was it right at the compressor, or somewhere else along the line?

On my Q7 it was right at the compressor. The plug itself looked okay from the outside, but once I disconnected it, I could see the corrosion inside the connector. I’d suggest checking that first, and then trace the wiring back as far as you can easily reach to look for any other signs of damage. But honestly, given the symptoms, it’s probably best to have it checked at the workshop. My repair ended up costing a small fortune.

Thanks for the tip! I'll take a look at the compressor plug and wiring. The error code also suggests it, so I'll get it checked out if I can't find anything obvious. The workshop quoted me 95€ to replace the defective cable or plug connection of the component, so hopefully it stays cheap.
