Optra cruise control failure
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Chevrolet Optra is experiencing a cruise control failure, with the system not engaging and an error code detected. The fuses are intact, suggesting the issue might be elsewhere. A potential cause could be a faulty pedal switch or a bad cable connection. It is recommended to have a workshop inspect the pedal switch and connections, as a similar issue was resolved by fixing a defective cable for a cost of 95€.

Thanks! Where's the pedal switch located, and is it easy to get to? Also, did the error memory show anything specific in your case?

The pedal switch is usually right above the pedal assembly. You can check it yourself, but based on your description, a workshop might be better. I had similar symptoms, and the error code pointed to a faulty connection. They charged me about 95€ to fix it.

Thanks, I appreciate the information! Sounds like the connection issue you mentioned. I'll bring it to a workshop and have them check the pedal switch and connections. They confirmed it was a defective cable with a total repair cost of 95€.

I had a similar issue with my Optra. Check the pedal switch. A bad cable or plug connection there could be the cause. Also, sometimes the dashboard light flickers subtly when the cruise control tries to engage but fails.
