Otti ABS Speed Signal Fault

Hi, I'm experiencing a speed signal fault with my 2009 Nissan Otti (gasoline engine) at 201902 km. The ABS lamp is lit, and I'm having traction problems, essentially a complete ABS failure. I suspect a defective control unit, but wanted to see if anyone else has encountered this before. The transmission seems fine, so I'm leaning away from it being a mechanical issue there. ECM seems like the only other culprit. The speedometer on the dashboard is working fine so I doubt it's the sensor. Any thoughts?

Just those symptoms, really. No other warning lights, no engine issues, just the ABS and traction control kicking in randomly, then eventually failing completely. Does your issue also point to a defective control unit?

Yep, sounds exactly like what I had. After a lot of messing around, I ended up taking it to a workshop. They confirmed it was the ABS control unit. Bite the bullet and let them fix it to save time, probably the best solution.

Thanks for confirming! It's helpful to know someone else experienced the same thing. I'll take it to a shop as you suggested. They quoted around 1000€ for the repair which looks reasonable, hopefully that fixes it.
