Hey there, Well, that's a revelation! Really thought it was a coolant issue at first. This connection problem sounds gnarly and makes complete sense seeing as my Renault Arkana is behaving all over the place. I'm guessing costs were not cheap for that day's work, huh? If you don't mind sharing, what did that little adventure set you back? And, just out of curiosity, since the repair have you run into further problems or was it smooth sailing? Really hoping to avoid repeated visits to the mechanic. Thanks a ton for your input.
Hey again, Ah, the cost of car adventures, huh? To get that pesky cable connection sorted, they charged me 95 euro. Not exactly pocket change but well worth it considering the potential damage that could've been. And guess what? After the fix, it's been smooth sailing indeed, haven't had anything go haywire so far. The Coolant temperature sensor is behaving beautifully since the mechanic worked his magic on it. So, yeah, once the issue is put to bed, you shouldn’t have to worry about recurring visits to the mechanic. Fingers crossed it's the same for your Arkana. Stay safe on those roads!
Hey, Ah, 95 euro! It's a fair blow to the pocket, but totally worth avoiding the headaches of a broken down or, worse, a burnt-out engine. Thanks for setting my mind at ease about it, really helps to know it's not typically a recurring issue. I'll have my Arkana inspected as soon as possible and let's hope for the best. Your experience has given me a better idea about what to expect. I am now just anticipating a day without my trusty ride. Appreciate your insights. You take care as well and let's enjoy our fully functional Rides. Beyond grateful for your help! Cheers!
Hey, I can totally relate to your troubles. I had a similar situation with my 2018 Renault Scénic. The temperature gauge went crazy, and soon enough, my check engine light came on too. Initially, I thought it was a coolant issue, but boy was I wrong. Took it to my trusty garage and turns out, it was a dodgy cable connection, specifically to the coolant temperature sensor. It wasn't making proper contact, causing all the symptoms I was experiencing. Was it a serious issue? Kinda. It can mess up readings and trigger your car to act all sorts of ways. Bad readings can lead to overheating, which if ignored may cause major engine damage. The garage guys sorted it out, involving replacing the defective plug and ensuring a secure connection to the sensor. It was a full day's work because they had to dismantle a fair bit to get to the issue but in the end, the car was back running smoothly. I hope that helps. Take care of that arkana before things get worse. Cheers!
