No recent engine work, just regular maintenance. When you say 'related to the camshaft position,' can you be more specific? Same error code? Did you also suspect the cable or plug?

Yes, I recall my mechanic mentioning the error code specifically pointed to the camshaft sensor. Given your mileage, and the potential connection issue you identified, I would recommend having a trusted workshop investigate the integrity of the connections and the sensor itself. You might save yourself from unnecessary component replacements.

Thanks for the insight. Took it to the workshop. The connection was indeed the problem; after cleaning and refastening it, the issue is resolved. Total cost was 95€. Appreciate the help!

I own a Pathfinder and experienced very similar symptoms. Reduced engine power and rough idling were the first signs. It ended up being related to the camshaft position. Was there any work completed on your engine recently?
