Pathfinder Hybrid rough running and stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid is experiencing rough running, stalling, and jerking during acceleration, with the check engine light on. These symptoms suggest a potential issue with the fuel system, possibly a bad fuel pressure sensor or a clogged injector. A similar problem was resolved by checking and fixing the cable and plug connection to the fuel pressure sensor, which could be the underlying cause. It is recommended to inspect this connection or have a workshop evaluate it for a definitive solution.

Thanks. When you say check the cable and plug connection, do you mean right at the fuel pressure sensor? Is it easy to get to, or do I need to remove stuff?

Yes, the connection at the fuel pressure sensor. It can be tight depending on the engine. You might need to remove the air intake duct to see it better. If you're not comfortable doing that, get a workshop to look. The defective cable and plug connection was the problem for me, and the repair was about 95€.

Thanks for the advice. I'll take it to a workshop. Sounds like a bad cable or plug connection at the fuel pressure sensor is the cause. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I also own a Pathfinder, but not the hybrid. Your symptoms sound like an issue I had. Check engine light, rough running, and stalling are classic signs. Did you check the cable and plug connection to the fuel pressure sensor? That fixed it for me. A bad connection can cause erratic behavior.
