Pathfinder MOST Bus Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2002 Nissan Pathfinder diesel is experiencing a complete failure of the audio and navigation systems, with diagnostics indicating a MOST bus fault. The issue is suspected to be a defect in one of the control units within the MOST bus. It is recommended to take the vehicle to a workshop for diagnosis and repair, as specialized tools are required to identify the specific faulty module.

Good question. It's completely dead all the time. I've checked the fuses; those seem fine. Did you manage to find out what the specific culprit was in your case? Was it a specific control unit causing the whole bus to fail?

Yep, sounds like the same headache I had. Unfortunately, I didn't get down to which module was faulty. I ended up taking it to a workshop, as diagnosing MOST bus issues requires specific tools. I'd recommend doing the same rather than chasing your tail.

Thanks for the insight. I suspected as much, and I'll follow your advice and book it in. From what I've researched, I am anticipating a repair cost of around 1000€ to fix it. I appreciate the shared experience!

Sounds familiar! I've had similar issues with my Pathfinder. No tunes, nav system kaput... Super annoying. Is there anything happening intermittently, or is it just completely dead all the time?
