Peugeot 2008 ABS Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Peugeot 2008 diesel is experiencing an ABS warning light and failure, with a diagnostic scan indicating a lateral acceleration sensor fault. The issue may be linked to a defective control unit, which has been a common cause for similar problems. While checking wheel alignment is suggested, the primary solution appears to be a workshop visit to address the control unit issue.

The scan pointed towards a defective control unit. I haven't touched the wheel alignment. Can that trigger the lateral sensor?

Control unit... that rings a bell. The lateral sensor is pretty sensitive, but a dodgy control unit was the root of my problem. I'd still check the alignment, but I reckon you're looking at a workshop visit. Don't ignore the safety warning!

I suspected as much. Looks like my wallet's gonna take a hit. I saw online quotes around 1000€ for the fix. I'll post when it's resolved.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue on my 2008: ABS light, system failure. Did the scan mention anything about the control unit? Have you checked your wheel alignment recently?
