Peugeot 308 Jerking and Power Loss

My 2021 Peugeot 308 diesel is jerking when accelerating. The check engine light is on, and there's a loss of power. Sometimes the engine stalls, runs roughly, and there's a strong exhaust smell. Could this be the intake manifold sensor?

These issues were suspected to be related to a defective intake manifold sensor. Upon further inspection, it was determined that the intake manifold was leaking due to scorching. Replacing the intake manifold resolved the issues, and the vehicle is now running smoothly.

Rough running, loss of power, and exhaust smell? Have you checked for any obvious leaks around the intake manifold or any hissing sounds? Maybe a gasket leak somewhere in the air intake?

I haven't looked for leaks yet. How can I best detect a leak, and where should I look? Could it be related to the manifold itself?

The symptoms point to a leaking intake manifold, possibly from scorching. Given the error codes and other issues, I would recommend taking your Peugeot to a workshop to have it checked professionally. Seems like a larger issue.

I took the car to the workshop. The intake manifold was indeed defective and leaking due to scorching. It was replaced, and now everything is running smoothly again. The repair cost 1180€.
