Platina MOST bus fault
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Nissan Platina is experiencing a complete failure of the audio and navigation systems, with diagnostics indicating a MOST bus fault and a defect in one of the control units. Possible causes include issues with the fuses or a specific control unit connected to the bus. Suggested solutions involve checking fuses and potentially seeking professional repair, as similar cases have required workshop intervention to resolve the issue.

Yeah, I checked all the fuses I could find related to the audio and nav systems – all good. I even tried disconnecting the battery for a while hoping it would reset something, but no luck. Was your issue also related to the MOST bus? Did the diagnostics point to a specific control unit?

Honestly, I didn't dive that deep into the diagnostics myself. It was beyond my capabilities. The symptoms were almost identical though. In the end, I bit the bullet and took it to a workshop. They sorted it out, but it wasn't cheap.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like I'm headed for the same fate. Got a quote from my local mechanic for around 1000€, seems like that's the going rate for MOST bus issues. Appreciate you sharing your experience!

Whoa, sounds familiar! I've got a Platina too, and I had similar issues a while back. No audio, navigation dead... it was driving me nuts! Did you try checking the fuses first? It might be something simple before you go tearing apart the whole system.
