Presage MOST Bus Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2003 Nissan Presage is experiencing a completely non-functional audio system and navigation, with diagnostics indicating a MOST bus fault. This suggests a possible issue with a control unit. The recommended solution is to take the vehicle to a workshop with specialized diagnostic tools to identify and replace the defective unit.

Same issues? That's wild. What exactly was it on yours? Which control unit was the culprit? Any idea where they're located? I'm trying to avoid just throwing parts at it.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to pinpoint the exact unit myself. After some initial poking around, I ended up biting the bullet and taking it to a workshop. They quickly identified the defective unit and replaced it. It's definitely a job that requires specialized diagnostic tools.

Ugh, that's what I was afraid of. Thanks for confirming my suspicions about the workshop – I'll book it in ASAP. Sounds like this whole thing is gonna set me back around 1000€, which is a bummer. Thanks again for the advice!

PRESAGE

I hear your pain. I've got a Presage as well, and encountered pretty much the same symptoms not too long ago. Error stored, navigation system without function, audio system dead... MOST bus issue was my first thought too.
