Prisma auxiliary heater malfunction
Summary of the thread
A Chevrolet Prisma 2007 with a gasoline engine is experiencing an auxiliary heater malfunction, preventing the parking heater from activating and storing an error in the memory. The likely cause is identified as a defective glow plug, which is a common issue in similar models. The problem was confirmed and resolved at a workshop, with the glow plug being replaced.

The error doesn't specify glow plug directly, but thanks. Coolant level seems stable. If not coolant leak nor temp sensor, what else should I be looking at? Is there any way to verify the glow plug without disassembling half the car?

Without a specific code, it's tough to be 100% certain. Given the symptoms and mileage, and based on my experience with similar Chevrolets, a defective glow plug is the most probable cause. Unfortunately, a proper diagnostic usually requires specific tools to test the glow plug resistance. If you don't have access to those, taking it to a workshop might be the best course of action.

Thanks, I appreciate the input. I'll take it to a shop. Ended up being the glow plug indeed, total cost was 440€.

Possible causes for auxiliary heater issues in Prismas of that era often involve the glow plug. Does the error code point to that specifically? It could also be a temperature sensor issue, but glow plug failure is more common. Have you noticed any unusual coolant leaks recently?
