Hey guys, I have a problem with my 2018 Ford Galaxy, gasoline engine. It doesn't run properly any more. When accelerating, it makes strange noises, hisses loudly and doesn't pull properly. Black smoke also comes out of the exhaust and the fuel consumption is also high. To make matters worse, the check engine light is on. I constantly have the feeling that the car jerks when accelerating and then I hear a whistling noise. The exhaust smell is really strong. Could it be a boost pressure sensor problem? Has anyone had a similar problem before and can give me tips on how it was solved in the workshop and what their experiences were? Thank you very much!

Hi, I know the problem. I had it with my 2016 Ford Mondeo. I'm not really a car professional, but I have experience with a few small problems. At my garage, they diagnosed damage to the turbocharger. It was a costly affair, 1070 euros to be precise. You could also have it checked, it sounds very similar. To be able to give you more precise advice, it would be helpful to know: Does your Galaxy have a lot of kilometers on it already and how often has the turbocharger been serviced so far? Normally, these should be checked every 80,000 - 120,000 km. If that's the problem, you'll probably have to expect to pay a similar amount to what I had to pay back then.
