Problems with the electric windows on the Toyota LandCruiser model year 2013

Hi guys, I have a problem with my 2013 Toyota LandCruiser with a gasoline engine. The power windows are not working properly. I think it might be a window regulator malfunction, but I'm not entirely sure. Have any of you had any experience with a similar problem and how was it fixed at the garage? I would appreciate a few tips.

Hi, I had a similar problem with my 2011 Toyota Hilux. I only have some experience with cars, so I went to the garage to check it out. Sure enough, the window regulator control unit was faulty. It cost me 355,0 euros to fix everything. Could you share a bit more information about your car? For example, what model number do you have or are there any other symptoms? This could help to find the exact cause of the problem. Hopefully I could help you further.

Hello, thanks for your quick reply! My LandCruiser has now run just under 43958 kilometers and I last had it serviced at 30000 km. I haven't noticed any other symptoms, everything else seems to be fine. I guess I'll have to take it to a garage too. 355.0 euros is a bit of a low blow, but safety first, right?

Hello again! Good that you mentioned the mileage. Nonetheless, it's a bit surprising that any problems are occurring at this mileage. With my Hilux, the problems with the window regulator only occurred at around 70000 km. But as they say: every car is unique, isn't it? Exactly, safety comes first. It's certainly annoying when you have to spend money on such things, but if the window regulators don't do their job properly, it can also be dangerous. Especially if you have to lower a window and it gets stuck. So I would suggest that you have it checked at the garage. Maybe you're lucky and it's not the control unit, but something easier (and cheaper) to solve. Another tip: ask the workshop if they can clean the window regulators completely. Sometimes they work like new again afterwards. Good luck!

Hello, thanks again for your helpful advice! You're right, every car is unique and you can never say exactly when which problems will occur. Of course, you hit the bull's eye with the safety aspect. I think I'll follow your advice and have the car checked at the garage. I think the idea of having the window regulators cleaned is a very good one. I hope it's only a minor issue and I don't necessarily have to replace the control unit. But what must be done, must be done. Safety first! Thanks again for your support!
