Problems with the seat heating in the Ibiza Diesel 2017: experiences and solutions wanted

Seat heating without function

Hey guys, I have a strange problem with my Ibiza Diesel from 2017. My seat heating no longer works. I suspect that the seat heating is faulty. Have any of you had similar experiences and can give me some troubleshooting tips? Would like to know how this was solved in your workshop. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi mate, I had a similar problem with my 2015 Seat Leon Diesel. I'm not a car expert but have some experience in this area. When I noticed that the seat heating wasn't working, I went to my regular garage. It turned out that the control unit was faulty. The cost of the repair was 1000 euros. It wasn't a cheap fix, but it was necessary. Could you please give more details about your vehicle? What exactly happens when you switch on the seat heating? The more information you provide, the better we can help you. Good luck, buddy!

Hey, thanks for the tip! So when I switch on the seat heating, nothing happens. No light, no heating. Nothing. If it's the control unit, that's really annoying of course. I'll go to the garage tomorrow and have it checked. For reference, my Ibiza has already done 60432 km. Last service was recently, so everything should be fine. Hopefully it's not a major repair... Thanks again!

Hi, this actually looks like a similar problem to the one I had. The seat heating in my Leon also stopped responding at all. That sounds a lot like the control unit to me. It's quite annoying when these things break, especially as your car hasn't done that many miles yet. I have a little tip: ask the garage if they could install a used control unit. This was possible with my Leon and saved me a few euros. It's not the ideal solution, but it's a good compromise if you don't want to spend so much money straight away. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Hey, that's a good idea with the used control unit. I'll definitely take it up with the garage. Thanks for the tip and your advice! It's always good to talk to people who have had similar experiences. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again, guys!
