Pulsar engine misfire issue
Summary of the thread
The 2016 Nissan Pulsar was experiencing rough engine performance, a check engine light, jerking during acceleration, and reduced power, suggesting a combustion misfire. A diagnostic scan confirmed a misfire, though it didn't specify the cylinder. A faulty fuel injector was identified as a potential cause, and upon inspection at a workshop, a defective injection valve was found and replaced, resolving the issue.

Yeah, I did use a scanner. It threw a code indicating a misfire, but didn't specify which cylinder. Could a faulty fuel injector cause these symptoms?

A faulty fuel injector definitely could be the culprit. If the injector isn't spraying fuel correctly, it'll cause a misfire in that cylinder. Given the symptoms and the misfire code, I'd recommend getting the injectors checked out by a mechanic. It's probably time for the workshop!

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. Turns out it was a defective injection valve, they replaced it and it cost me 515€. Runs like new now!

Combustion misfires can be tricky. Rough idle, check engine light, jerking, and power loss all point in that direction. Have you tried checking for any specific cylinder misfire codes with an OBD2 scanner? That could narrow down the issue.
