Pulsar Power Window Failure
Summary of the thread
The power windows of a 2016 Nissan Pulsar have stopped working, with error codes indicating a fault related to the window regulator. A defective power window switch is suggested as a likely cause. Without a multimeter, checking the relevant fuses and relays is recommended as a preliminary step. If these checks do not resolve the issue, professional diagnosis at a certified automotive repair workshop is advised to prevent further damage.

Thanks for your reply. I don't have a multimeter, but are there any other straightforward things I can check before buying one? Maybe some fuses or relays? Which one would control the windows?

Affirmatively. Given the absence of a multimeter, I advise against invasive electrical testing due to potential risks. Consult your Nissan Pulsar's owner's manual or wiring diagram (easily accessible online) to pinpoint the exact fuse and relay dedicated to the power window circuit. Visually inspect the fuse for any breaks in the filament. If feasible, swap the relay with an identical one from a less critical system (e.g., fog lights, if applicable) to ascertain its functionality. Should these preliminary checks yield no resolution, the prudent course of action involves seeking a professional diagnosis at a certified automotive repair workshop. Based on the information available, a defective power window switch remains the most probable culprit, although a comprehensive diagnostic procedure may reveal additional underlying issues. Neglecting these issues may lead to extensive damage. Window motor failures are not uncommon, with repairs costing approximately 200€. Given your situation, proceed with caution and consult a qualified technician to mitigate risk.

Thanks, seems like a trip to the workshop is unavoidable. I will give information when they've had a look.

Greetings. Given the symptoms you describe, specifically the complete failure of all power windows and the error code pointing to the window regulator circuit, a defective power window switch is indeed a highly plausible cause. To further diagnose, do you have access to a multimeter? Measuring the voltage at the switch itself, and then at the window motor when the switch is activated, could help isolate the point of failure. Also, check the relevant fuse; although a blown fuse is less likely to selectively affect only the power windows without impacting other circuits, ruling it out definitively is prudent. Have you observed any prior intermittent behavior, such as delayed response or unusual noises from the window motors, prior to this complete failure?
