Qashqai engine misfires and jerking
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Nissan Qashqai with a gasoline engine is experiencing engine misfires, jerking during acceleration, and reduced power, with the check engine light on. The initial suspicion was a spark plug or fuel pump issue. After scanning for error codes, combustion misfires were confirmed, and a defective injection valve/injector was identified as the cause. The problem was resolved by replacing the faulty injector at a workshop.

I did have it scanned and it indicated combustion misfires. Is it possible that a defective injection valve/injector could be the problem?

Yes, a defective injection valve/injector is a likely cause, especially given the misfire codes. The symptoms you describe are consistent with that diagnosis. I suggest a visit to a workshop.

I appreciate the confirmation and advice. I took it to a workshop as suggested, and you were correct – a defective injector was the problem. The repair cost 515€. Thank you again for your assistance!

Combustion misfires can trigger those symptoms. Have you scanned the ECU for error codes? A defective ignition coil could also be the cause. What codes are you getting?
