Rogue Hybrid Engine Stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Nissan Rogue Hybrid with 140,000 km is experiencing engine stalling and a check engine light, with an error code indicating incorrect fuel composition. The issue may be caused by a defective cable or plug connection. After consulting with others and visiting a workshop, it was confirmed that a faulty cable connection to the fuel sensor was the problem, which was resolved by replacing the cable.

Engine knocking... Hmm, I haven't specifically listened for that. Where exactly should I be listening? And would a bad fuel additive cause this kind of problem?

Yeah, listen closely when the engine is idling, that's when I noticed it. It could be a bad fuel additive, but honestly, these new cars are so sensitive. I'd get it checked by a workshop.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I took it to the shop, and you were right! It turned out to be a faulty cable connection to the fuel sensor. They replaced it for 95€ and the problem seems to be gone! Cheers!

Hey there, I have a Rogue too, not sure about the year, but I had something kinda similar happen. Did you check for any weird engine knocking sounds? Maybe the fuel mixture is off?
