S10 radio reception issue
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Chevrolet S10 is experiencing radio reception issues, with the infotainment system displaying an error message and the audio system being non-functional. Diagnostics suggest a defective antenna as the cause. It is recommended to check the antenna connection for corrosion, and if accessing the antenna base is challenging, consulting a professional for replacement is advised.

Thanks for the input. Is accessing the antenna base straightforward, or does it require specialized tools or interior disassembly? I want to avoid causing further damage.

Accessing the base can be tricky. On my S10, I needed to partially remove the headliner to get to it. If you are not comfortable with that, I recommend a workshop. I ended up paying 255€ for them to replace the antenna.

I appreciate the information. I will proceed with caution, and if needed, I will consult a professional for the antenna replacement. Thanks for confirming the potential solution.

I have a Chevrolet S10, don't recall the year. I had a similar radio signal issue. The reception was terrible, and sometimes the system wouldn't even recognize the radio. Have you checked the antenna connection at the base? Any corrosion?
