Saxo passenger seat issue
Summary of the thread
The passenger electric seat on a 2001 Citroen Saxo isn't adjusting, with a diagnostic error indicating 'seat adjustment not possible.' The fuses and wiring appear intact, suggesting the issue might not be with these components. A potential cause could be an old or weak battery, which may not provide sufficient power for the seat motor. Testing and possibly replacing the battery could resolve the issue.

Interesting! The battery is a bit old. How would a battery affect the passenger seat adjustment? Is it just not getting enough power or something?

Yeah, exactly! If the battery is heavily discharged or defective, it might not provide enough power for the seat motor to work properly. For me, it ended up being that, and I was advised to go straight to a workshop. They ended up charging me 290€ to replace the battery and reset the error.

Thanks, that's really helpful! I'll get the battery tested. Hopefully, that fixes it! I'll post a follow up once I've had it checked out.

Sounds familiar! Had a similar problem with my Saxo. Is your battery in good condition? A weak battery can cause all sorts of weird electrical gremlins.
