Seat Ateca Driving Mode Errors

My 2022 Seat Ateca, gasoline engine, with 135018 km on the clock is exhibiting sporadic errors in driving mode, accompanied by intermittently illuminated error lamps. Symptoms include failure of audio/navigation functions, temporary shutdown of control units and unresponsive controls. Error is stored in the error memory during engine diagnostics. Suspect cable connection issue with BUS system to control unit.

I had similar issues with my Ateca. Did you use a scan tool to pull the error codes? Could be a faulty control module. Service required light also came on in my case.

Do you recall which control module was throwing the errors? And what error codes did your scan tool retrieve?

Yes, it sounds very familiar. I'd suggest that a visit to a workshop would be the best bet, hopefully that resolves your issue.

As suspected, the BUS system cable connection to the control module was indeed the culprit. A visit to the workshop and a 155€ repair cost later, the Seat Ateca is back to normal. Thanks for the input.
