Hey, Thanks for your two cents. Honestly, I haven't done any recent modifications or changes to the original setup, so it's a bit of a mystery, really. It's been running nicely since my last service, even with her age and the 147900 KM she's trotted. I haven't done any chip tuning either, which makes it all the more confusing. Guess I'll have to take her down to the garage, but figured I'd get some advice here first. Any other suggestions would be welcome. Thanks for the help!

Hey again, Hmm, that does sound strange if you haven't made any modifications or tuning recently. The fact that your Cima was running well until now does make it a bit more tricky. Since your ride is pretty advance in miles, it could be a myriad of things really. One thing comes to my mind is that it could be your fuel pump. Sometimes when they start acting up, it can give you those symptoms, like engine shutting off and check engine light on. A faulty fuel pump might also cause the car not to start efficiently. But then again, it's hard to diagnose without seeing the car. Honestly, at this point I'd recommend you to get it checked out by a professional. It's always better safe than sorry especially when dealing with vehicles. The problem could be minor but if left unattended it could become major. In the meanwhile, try not to drive it too much so as not to potentially worsen the condition. Hope you get it sorted out soon. Keep us posted on what you find out! Cheers.

Hey again, Appreciate the added advice, and you taking time to share your insight. It's a bit of a heartache seeing my old gal like this. Your point about the fuel pump makes sense, and I won't rule that out as a potential cause. You're right, it sounds like a professional's touch is needed here. I'll drive her down to my usual garage this week, keeping it minimal till then. I'll certainly update once things are sorted out. Thanks a ton, cheers!

Hey there, I can somewhat relate to your situation. I've got a Nissan Cedric, a 2010 model, that gave me similar trouble a while back. Now, I'm no expert, just a casual car enthusiast with a bit of hands-on experience. Turned out for me, it was due to a third-party chip tuning that had gone sideways. Took it down to my usual workshop, and those guys sorted it out for me. Cost me 180 Euro, but it was worth every penny since they got my ride back on the road. However, each case can differ significantly. We could make better suggestions if we got more info on your setup. Did you make any modifications recently or install any new parts? Has your Cima gone through chip tuning recently? Hoping to help out further. Cheers!
