Hey! Thanks for your speedy response. My XC90 has clocked 101,803 KM so far. Had the last service in January when the mechanic did a standard tune-up: oil change, filter replacements, plus they checked the tires and other basic stuff. No substantial changes after that, just this bloody light issue sprung up from nowhere. 222.50 Euro doesn't sound too bad if it fixes the problem. I'll try giving your fix a shot. Cheers!

Hey, no worries! With the mileage and recent service info, it doesn't seem like there should be any severe underlying issues. I reckon the light switch function limitation you mentioned might actually be spot on. If it's a software issue, the guys at the shop should be able to update the car’s system. Sometimes, a simple system update gets the job done. I'd say take it to a local workshop and they'll probably run a diagnostic test first. If it's anything similar to my case, it won't hurt your pocket too much. And maybe insist they check the light sensor and connections as well. I've heard odd lighting issues can sometimes be due to faulty or worn-out sensors or connectors. Best of luck! Let us know how you get on. Cheers!

Cheers for all the info and suggestions. A system update seems like a good starting point. Gonna insist they check all the connections and light sensors too, just in case. It's great having helpful folks like you around in the car enthusiasts community. I'll be sure to share an update once I've gotten it fixed. Drive safe!

Hey there! I’ve got some experience with cars and had a similar issue with my 2005 Volvo S90. I’m no car guru, but I can usually diagnose the basic stuff. When I took it to my local workshop, the guys diagnosed a faulty plug connection. Not necessarily a major fix, but it can be a pest. I ended up paying around 222.50 Euro to get it sorted. However, your case might be different as cars can be quirky. Can you share a bit more about your vehicle? For instance, mileage, recent services, or changes? It might help to pinpoint the issue a bit better. Hope this helps! Cheers!
