Hey! Wow, your experience sounds eerily similar to what I'm dealing with. Although it's no fun on the road right now, it's a relief to know I'm likely on the right track with that dang camshaft sensor causing the ruckus. I can't help but wonder about the damage on your wallet, though. I mean, I'm prepared for a significant hit, but do you recall what kind of money we're talking about? And have you had any more trouble pop up since the fix? Thanks again for your insight. Keeping my fingers crossed that getting this sorted brings back my Lodgy's smooth performance. Cheers!
Hey again! Boy, I tell ya, car problems have a way of putting a dent in your wallet that you never saw coming. For my Dacia Duster's camshaft sensor wheel issue, I had to shell out about 695 smackeroos in Euro. Yep, you heard it right, no small chump change there! But since getting it fixed, my ride's been as smooth as greased lightning. Not a trace of hassle or problems from that camshaft sensor since then. So, yeah, the fix might pinch a bit, but consider it a valuable investment in your car's health and your own peace of mind. Hope your Lodgy gets back on its feet soon! Good luck, and keep us posted! Cheers!
Hey! Shelling out 695 Euro is quite the pill to swallow, but I suppose when you put it in terms of investing in the car's health and my sanity, it doesn't sting quite as much. Plus, hearing that your Duster has been running smooth as silk since the fix is quite encouraging. Seems like the garage visit is long overdue. Fingers crossed, I get a seasoned mechanic who knows his way around this puzzling camshaft sensor. With any luck, my Lodgy will be back to its old self in no time. I'll definitely keep you folks updated. Thanks for the shared wisdom and well wishes. Cheers!
Hey there! I totally get it. These problems can be a real pain. I've got a 2018 Dacia Duster, that gave me similar stress a while back. I remember having a near identical problem with power loss and the pesky check engine light popping up all the time. Jerks, stalls, the whole nine yards...just like your Lodgy. Sure enough, my ordeal turned out to be a faulty sensor wheel on the camshaft, just like you're suspecting. It was seriously messing with the timing and fuel injection, hence the rough start and drive. Pushed my Duster's gaskets and valve timing way off, which are just as critical to a smooth ride. I won't lie, it wasn't a walk in the park, but it wasn't the end of the world either…you know what I mean? The most important thing was getting a skilled mechanic who really knew his stuff to have a poke around under the hood. We ended up replacing the sensor entirely, which put things right back on track. So, based on my experience, it sounds like you're right on the money about the camshaft sensor being your culprit. It's definitely a big deal, but get it handled right away and your Lodgy should be back to its old self in no time. Don't hesitate to get that bad boy checked out ASAP! Best of luck with it!
