Hey there, thanks for sharing your experience, really appreciate it! Seems like I'm not alone with this antenna issue. Now I'm curious, do you happen to recall how much you had to shell out to get it fixed? Also, since the fix, has any other related problem surfaced? Just trying to get a grasp of what I might be looking into. Thanks in advance!

Hey there! Always happy to help a fellow Volvo enthusiast. Yup, I did have to loosen my wallet a bit when I fixed the bumper antenna issue on my Volvo XC60. The damage was about 260€, but it totally was worth every penny. The mechanic took care of the cable connection to the bumper antenna which was causing the trouble. Since then, I gotta say, it's been smooth sailing, no key fob trouble or any other related issues popping up. It's peace of mind, really. Also, I managed to establish a good rapport with the car mechanic this time around. So all in all, it was a win-win. Hope your experience turns out fine as well! Good luck!

That's great to hear! It's reassuring to know that it's a one-time expense and then it's all smooth sailing. Thanks for your help and sharing your experience. I sure hope my visit to the mechanic goes as smoothly as yours. I'll make sure to heed your advice and get it sorted straightaway. Cheers for your insight! It's been a huge help!

Hey, good to see another Volvo owner out here! I drive a 2016 Volvo XC60. Had a similar issue with my key fob a while back, the culprit was the cable connection to the bumper antenna. Seems like a small deal, but trust me, you don't want to ignore it. It can cause some serious probkems in the daily functioning of your car. When I took my ride to the garage, the mechanic put it through the diagnostics, and yep right off the bat, the antenna cable was not functioning as it should. They fixed it up, which involved getting under the car's body, doing some rerouting and securing the connections again. Was it a huge deal? In terms of the technicality, not as much, but impacts on comfort and convenience? Definitely. The problem was solved in just over a day. Hope this might be of help to you. Good luck with your Volvo!
