Seeking Advice on Troubleshooting Heating, Cooling and Blower Issues in a 2013 Fiat Freemont

Blower does not work properly

Insufficient Cooling/Heating

Hey, I'm having a bit of a weird issue with my 2013 Fiat Freemont, Gasoline engine. The heater and cooler aren't doing their job properly and the blower's acting up as well. I'm thinking it could be an Air Conditioning error, but can't pinpoint it exactly. Anyone had a similar issue and found a solution at their local workshop? Would appreciate any tips or advice on troubleshooting this. Thanks in advance!

Hey there! I've got some experience with cars but I'm not a pro, so take my advice as you will. I had the same kind of issue with my 2011 Fiat Linea. Drove me nuts, just like you it's about the heater and cooler going wonky. Turned out the issue was a defective Climate control unit. I had the unit replaced at my local workshop and it cost me around 880€. I know it's a bit steep but it totally solved the issue, so might be worth checking out. Could you share more about your car? Like mileage, maintenance history, and any other recent issues? That would help pinpoint the problem. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip! My car mileage just hit 82732 km, no significant issues till now. It was serviced just a few weeks back, but this problem crept up post-service. Guess I'll have to check out the Climate control unit. Appreciate the advice!

Hey sounds like you've been taking good care of your vehicle. With that low mileage and recent servicing, it's even odder that you're having these A/C issues. If the problem arose post-service, it could potentially be tied to the servicing. Though I doubt it, it's always worth checking if anything went wrong along those lines. Given your situation, I'd definitely recommend having your Climate control unit checked out. That completely resolved my blower issues and has been going strong for years. Do look up trusted local repair shops and get a second opinion as well, just to be thorough. Also, while you're at it, ask your mechanic to check the A/C refrigerant levels. Sometimes low refrigerant levels can lead to insufficient cooling/heating. It's a cheaper fix if that turns out to be the culprit. Hope that helps and wish you the best of luck with it! Keep us updated on what you find. Cheers!

Thanks a bunch for all the advice! I'm definitely going to do exactly as you've suggested - get the Climate control unit and the A/C refrigerant checked at a reliable local workshop. The post-service timing is indeed a bit strange, I'll have them look into that too. Will keep you all posted about the progress. Your help means a lot, cheers!
