Skoda Praktik Diesel Engine Trouble
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Skoda Praktik diesel was experiencing issues with the check engine light, stalling at idle, and reduced power. The problem was suspected to be related to the fuel pressure regulator, possibly linked to a recent fuel filter change. After discussing similar symptoms with another vehicle owner, it was confirmed that the fuel pressure regulator was indeed faulty. Replacing the regulator resolved the issues, restoring the vehicle's performance.

Fuel efficiency seems normal. How did you figure it out on the Megane?

Well, the symptoms were almost identical. Turns out the fuel regulator was faulty. I'd suggest getting it checked out at a workshop to confirm. Could save you some headaches diagnosing it yourself.

Yep, you were spot on. Faulty fuel pressure regulator. Replaced it for 45€. Runs like new. Thanks!

Sounds familiar. Had similar engine misfire and pressure drop issues with my old Renault Megane. Check engine light, stalling at idle... Could be the fuel rail pressure sensor or the regulator itself. Have you noticed a drop in fuel efficiency?
