Skyline MOST bus audio navigation failure
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Nissan Skyline Hybrid experienced a complete failure of the audio and navigation systems, with diagnostics indicating a MOST bus error. This issue is suspected to be caused by a defect in one of the control units connected to the MOST bus. A similar case was resolved by replacing a faulty control unit at a workshop, suggesting that professional diagnosis and repair are necessary to address the problem effectively.

Thanks for the reply! No, there was absolutely no warning. It was working perfectly fine one minute, and then nothing the next. Did you manage to fix the MOST bus issue yourself, or did you have to take it somewhere? If you took it to a workshop, do you remember what they replaced or did?

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to fix it myself. I lack the specialised diagnostic tools for fiber optics and the knowledge to pinpoint which control unit on the MOST bus was causing the problem. I ended up taking it to a reputable workshop. They confirmed the MOST bus fault and replaced one of the control units. It cost me around 1000€. I suggest you do the same.

Thanks a lot for the information. I'll take it to a workshop and have them diagnose the MOST bus. Knowing that someone else had the exact same issue and the symptoms match perfectly gives me a much better starting point. I appreciate the help!

Interesting. I own a Skyline too, and I had nearly identical symptoms a while back. The audio system and navigation went completely dark, like someone pulled the plug. It turned out to be a MOST bus issue. Did you notice any flickering or anything odd before it died?
