Spark fuel level sensor fault
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Chevrolet Spark owner experienced a check engine light and stalling issues, with error codes indicating a fuel level sensor fault. The problem was linked to erratic fuel gauge behavior, suggesting a faulty sensor in the fuel tank. The recommended solution was to have a mechanic inspect and replace the sensor, which resolved the issue effectively.

Good question! I only checked the one that was labeled "fuel pump" in the manual. Are there others I should be looking at? And yeah, now that you mention it, the fuel gauge does jump around a bit sometimes. I thought it was just me misreading it!

Okay, on mine, it ended up being a faulty sensor in the fuel tank itself. Given the erratic gauge and the stalling, it really does sound like the same thing. It might be worth having a mechanic take a look and confirm the sensor is bad. It's not a super expensive fix, but it's a pain to get to.

Thanks so much for the advice! I took it to the shop, and you were spot on. Faulty fuel level sensor, just like you said. Total cost was 52€ including the sensor and labor. Runs like a charm now!

I had a similar problem with my Spark. Does the fuel gauge seem to be acting erratically too? The sensor can be a pain. Did you check all the fuses related to the fuel system, or just the main one?
