Spark Seat Heater Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Chevrolet Spark owner experienced a seat heater failure, suspecting the heating mat as the cause due to an error code and lack of heat. Another person suggested checking the thermal sensor, which can sometimes fail before the heating element. However, accessing the sensor might require dismantling the seat. Ultimately, the owner confirmed the heating mat was defective and had it replaced at a workshop.

Interesting, I hadn't thought about the thermal sensor. Where exactly is that located? And is it easy to check without tearing the whole seat cushion apart?

On my Volvo, it was embedded within the seat cushion, near the heating element. Accessing it required some dismantling of the seat, unfortunately. Given the error code and lack of heat, it might be prudent to consult a workshop for a proper diagnostic. The seat cushion could be really difficult to disassemble.

Thanks for the advice! Sounds like it's more involved than I initially thought. I'll take it to the shop. It turns out the heating mat was indeed defective; cost me 390€ to replace. Appreciate the help!

I encountered a similar problem with my Volvo V70 a few years back. Same symptoms: no heat, error code. Did you check the thermal sensor? Sometimes that's the culprit before the entire heating element fails.
