Spider Climate Control Malfunction

Hello, I have a 1999 Renault Spider with a gasoline engine. I've been experiencing some issues with the climate control. The error memory stores a fault, and the climate control unit seems to be malfunctioning. The air conditioning isn't cooling at all anymore. It seems like the rear ventilation flap might be the culprit, possibly a defective cable or plug connection.

I had a similar issue with my Spider. Sounds like it could indeed be the flap actuator. Have you checked the wiring harness for any visible damage or loose connections before throwing parts at it?

Thanks for the tip! I haven't had a chance to check the wiring harness in detail yet. Could you perhaps elaborate on where exactly I should be looking? Any specific areas that are known to be problematic?

On my car, the connection to the flap actuator had corroded pins. If you are not confident in dealing with electrical problems, I advise you to visit a workshop. The expected repair cost should be around 95€.

Okay, thanks a lot for your help. I will check the wiring and then decide on what to do next. I appreciate the advice, especially the cost estimate - that is really helpful.
