Spin fuel filter heater fault
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Chevrolet Spin diesel exhibited symptoms such as reduced engine power, poor response, higher fuel consumption, and uneven idling, accompanied by a fuel filter heater fault. The issue was suspected to be related to the fuel filter heater, specifically the electrical connection. Thanks for the tip! You mean the actual electrical connector on the fuel filter itself? Is there anything specific I should be looking for? Corrosion? Loose wires? I'm not really a mechanic, but I can poke around a bit.

Yep, exactly that connector. On my Megane, the plug was a bit corroded and one of the wires had come loose from the connector itself. I tried cleaning it up, but it didn't really fix it long-term. In the end, I took it to a workshop. Best to get it checked properly before you start replacing stuff yourself.

You were spot on! I took it to a mechanic, and it was indeed the cable connection to the fuel filter heater. They cleaned it, re-secured the connection, and cleared the error codes. Runs like a charm now! Cost me 95€ all in. Thanks a lot for your help!

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms with my old Renault Megane: error codes, power loss, the works. Turned out to be a dodgy connection to the fuel filter heater. Have you checked the cable and plug connection to the heater unit?
