Hello, thank you for your quick reply! Ah, a defective cable doesn't sound like a very big and expensive repair. Do you remember roughly what you had to pay for it? And has anything else been added to the repair since then or is your Toyota now running smoothly again? Thanks for your information! Best regards!

Hello, you're very welcome! Well, I paid 365€ for the repair of the cable connection to the sensor. It was a bit of money, but since then my Toyota has been running like a charm again. So no comparison to before, when it failed from time to time. And the best thing is: that stupid warning light that always came on no longer comes on. The warning light was constantly on due to the malfunction of the water sensor. But since the mechanic's visit, this has also been rectified! So there's nothing to complain about at the moment and I hope it stays that way! I'm sure it won't be any worse for you either. Cheer up! Best regards!

Hello, Wow, that really is a relief! I was worried that it would be much more expensive. Very good to know that your Toyota is now running perfectly again and that the warning light is off. I think I will definitely take my car to a mechanic as soon as possible and get it checked out. Your advice was super helpful and definitely eased some of my worries. Thanks for sharing your experience! Regards!

Hello, I have a 2009 Toyota Corolla and recently had similar problems to yours. It turned out that the cable connection to the sensor was faulty. At my garage they had to identify the faulty connection and repair it. It wasn't a super dramatic problem, but still something that needed to be fixed to get the car running properly again. So if you notice similar symptoms on your Avensis, you might also have a wiring problem. A good mechanic should be able to figure this out easily though. Good luck and hopefully your problem will be solved quickly! Best regards!
