Sunny climate control malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Nissan Sunny is experiencing climate control issues, with error codes, weak heating, and non-functional AC. The garage suspects a faulty cable or plug. A suggestion is made to check the blower motor resistor pack and inspect the wiring harness for damage. It is advised to let professionals handle the issue if not comfortable with electrical work.

Blower motor resistor pack, huh? Whereabouts is that usually located? And when you say wiring harness, are we talking about the main power supply to the climate control unit, or something more specific? Sorry for the noob questions, electrics aren't really my strong suit.

Yeah, it's worth a shot. The blower motor resistor is often near the blower motor itself, usually under the dash on either the driver or passenger side. As for the wiring harness, I meant checking all the visible connections to the climate control unit for any obvious damage. But honestly, if the garage already suspects a cable issue and you aren't comfortable with electrics, it might be best to just bite the bullet and let them take a proper look. Could save you a lot of time and hassle in the long run.

Cheers! I think you're right. I'll take it back to the workshop. At least I can suggest they check the resistor pack and wiring harness. They quoted me about 95€, so hopefully, that covers it! Thanks for the help!

I had a similar nightmare with my old Peugeot 207. The whole climate control panel went haywire. Same symptoms too: error codes, weak heat, and AC refusing to play ball. Have you checked the blower motor resistor pack? Sometimes those things can cause havoc with the whole system. Also, have you checked the wiring harness for corrosion or damage?
