Titan incorrect fuel composition error
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Nissan Titan was experiencing a check engine light and stalling at idle, with a diagnostic code indicating "incorrect fuel composition." Despite attempts to resolve the issue with fuel additives, the problem persisted. The suggested solution was to check the fuel composition sensor, which revealed a loose connection. After fixing the connection, the truck's performance returned to normal.

I always use the same fuel grade, and I filled up at my usual station. Where exactly do I check the fuel filter?

Okay, if you're using the right fuel and the filter looks alright, then it could be a defective cable or plug connection. I'd recommend having a workshop check the fuel composition sensor. I had to get mine replaced on my previous car, and that fixed the problem right away.

Thanks! Took it to the workshop, and you were spot on! Turns out it was a loose connection on the fuel composition sensor. They fixed it for 95€, and the truck runs great now. Appreciate the help!

Interesting. I had a similar issue with my old Frontier after accidentally putting in the wrong fuel grade once. Did you recently fill up somewhere new or use a different fuel type than usual? Also, have you checked your fuel filter? Could be partially clogged.
