Trailblazer Air Suspension Failure

I'm having a major headache with my 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer diesel (49k km). The air suspension seems totally shot. The car won't lift anymore, it's leaning to one side, and I'm getting error messages. The speedometer is lit up, and the low beams are pointing all over the place. I scanned the codes and it's pointing towards the air suspension compressor. Could it be something simple? I'm hoping it's not a full compressor replacement...

Summary of the thread

The 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer experienced air suspension failure, causing the vehicle to lean and display error messages. Initial diagnostics pointed to the air suspension compressor as the potential issue. A common cause for such problems is a defective cable or plug connection. Upon further inspection, a corroded connector on the compressor was identified and replaced, resolving the issue.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I had a similar issue with my Trailblazer. Symptoms sound identical: the leaning, the error messages. Air suspension malfunction can cause the load leveling system to fail, which uses air struts to maintain the vehicle's height. A defective cable or plug connection of the component is a common cause. Have you checked the wiring and connections to the compressor itself?

Thanks for the quick response! I did a quick visual inspection, but didn't dive too deep. Where exactly should I be looking for these connections? Any specific plugs or areas prone to corrosion?

Given that you are seeing multiple symptoms including error messages and the vehicle leaning, I would advise against attempting to diagnose the problem yourself if you are not comfortable with automotive electrical systems. A faulty connection is the most probable cause, but it could also be a defective level sensor or the air compressor itself. I'd take it to a reputable workshop before you potentially cause further damage to the suspension system.

Appreciate the advice! You were spot on. Turns out it was a corroded connector on the compressor. Workshop cleaned it up and replaced the connector. Cost me 95€ and I'm back on the road!
