Traverse central locking failure

Central locking malfunction on my 2023 Chevrolet Traverse with a gasoline engine. The system has completely stopped working. I can no longer lock or unlock the doors using the remote or the door switches. I've scanned the car and there's an error stored in the error memory related to the central locking module. Any ideas where to start? Mileage is at 128063 km.

An error related to the central locking module is stored in the error memory. Possible causes include a dodgy connection or a damaged wire in the door harness, as suggested by another owner with a similar issue. The recommended solution is to have a mechanic inspect the wiring and connections, particularly in the door harness, to identify and resolve the problem.

Hey there! I had a similar problem with my Traverse, though I can't recall the year. Sounds like it could be a dodgy connection. Like a light switch that's gone bad, sometimes the signal just doesn't get through. Have you checked the fuses related to the locking system? That would be the easiest place to start.

Thanks for the tip! I did check the fuses in the fuse box, but they all seem to be fine. Do you remember any more details about your issue? Like what exactly was wrong with the connection?

Yeah, I thought it was the fuses at first too. In my case, it turned out to be a damaged wire in the door harness, causing a short. It's like a kink in a garden hose, stopping the flow! I'd advise taking it to a workshop. They'll be able to properly diagnose the wiring and connections. Ended up costing me about 95€ to fix.

Appreciate the advice! Knowing that it could be a damaged wire or plug connection of the component causing the issue helps narrow it down. I'll take it to a trusted mechanic and mention the possibility of a faulty wire in the door harness. Hopefully, they can sort it out quickly. Thanks again!
