Traverse rough cold start
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Chevrolet Traverse is experiencing rough starts and poor performance when cold, potentially due to issues with the fuel system. Initial suggestions include using an injector cleaner, which can be added to the gas tank, to address possible injector problems. However, a workshop diagnosis confirmed a faulty cold start injector as the cause, with a repair cost of 515€.

Injector cleaner, huh? Just pour it into the gas tank? Is it difficult? Will that solve the hard start?

Yeah, just pour it into the gas tank according to the instructions. If it's as bad as you're describing and you're getting a rough idle, get it checked by a mechanic you trust. Could be a faulty injector itself.

Okay, like using a band-aid on a broken leg. I took it to the workshop today and they confirmed it was a faulty cold start injector. Quoted me 515€ for the repair! At least I know what it is now.

Sounds familiar! I had a similar problem last winter with my Traverse. The engine was coughing on cold starts. Have you tried any injector cleaner? Mine did the same thing.
