Traverse Stalling at Idle
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Chevrolet Traverse is experiencing stalling at idle and a check engine light issue. The problem is suspected to be related to the fuel tank ventilation valve, possibly due to clogged hoses. After taking the vehicle to a workshop, it was confirmed that the ventilation valve and clogged hoses were indeed the cause, and the issue was resolved.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

No hissing that I've noticed, and the fuel efficiency seems normal. Was it definitely the ventilation valve for you? How did you figure it out?

Yeah, it turned out to be the ventilation valve. I’d suggest taking it to a shop to get it properly diagnosed. It's probably the hoses like you mentioned.

Thanks for the info! I took it to the workshop, and you were right, it was the tank ventilation valve and some clogged hoses. Cost me 175€ to get it fixed. Appreciate the help!

I had a similar problem with my Traverse. Check engine light and stalling at idle, sounds familiar. Did you notice any difference in fuel efficiency or any hissing sounds when you open the gas cap?
