Trax belt handover issue
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Chevy Trax with 47489 km is experiencing a belt handover issue, suspected to be due to a defective belt bringer. A similar case suggests that a faulty tensioner might be the cause, potentially leading to further damage if not addressed. The recommended solution is to have the vehicle inspected and repaired at a workshop to prevent additional issues.

No weird noises, just the belt handover failing. You really think it could be the tensioner? What did it cost you to fix?

Yep, sounds like the tensioner. I'd get it checked out at a workshop, could damage more than just the timing belt if it fully fails. My local workshop said that the whole repair will be approximately 455€

I had a similar issue with my Trax. Is it making any weird engine noises? Sometimes a bad tensioner can cause the serpentine belt to squeal like crazy before the handover completely fails.
