Trax engine stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Chevrolet Trax is experiencing issues with the engine refusing to start or shutting off unexpectedly, often running rough without any warning lights. Possible causes suggested include a faulty ignition switch, defective fuse, or bad relay. Checking the battery voltage and consulting a mechanic are recommended steps, with a defective ignition system fuse identified and replaced as a solution.

Thanks! I haven't checked the battery voltage yet, but I will. When you had the issue, did any of the dashboard lights flicker? Were you able to resolve the problem yourself, or did you have to take it to a mechanic?

No flickering lights, just the engine cutting out, pretty similar to your symptoms. I finally gave up and took it to the shop. It's best to let them have a look before you start replacing parts.

Alright, thanks. I'll check the battery and then take it to a workshop. It was a defective fuse related to the ignition system, which they replaced for 52€.

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my Trax. Check the car electronics, it could be a faulty starting issue, like a bad relay. Did you check the battery voltage?
