Twingo AC compressor failure
Summary of the thread
The 2008 Renault Twingo's air conditioning compressor stopped working, with an error indicating undervoltage. Possible causes include issues with the AC relay, refrigerant levels, or a leak that could lead to the compressor shutting off. The suggested solution was to check the AC relay and refrigerant levels, but ultimately, visiting a workshop was recommended to address the undervoltage issue, which was confirmed by a mechanic.

Thanks for the reply! Where is the AC relay located, and how would I check for a refrigerant leak?

The AC relay location can vary, check your owner's manual for the exact location. As for the refrigerant leak, unless you have the right tools, it's best left to a professional. Undervoltage can definitely cause the compressor to shut off though. It would be best to visit a workshop.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice! I took it to a workshop, and the mechanic confirmed the undervoltage issue. Repair cost was 240€.

I had a similar problem with my Twingo's A/C system. Have you checked the AC relay and refrigerant levels? A leak could cause the compressor to shut off to protect itself. Also, undervoltage can cause the AC compressor to fail.
