Interesting, I hadn't considered the amplifier. Where is the signal amplifier located on your Astra? And was the error message on your infotainment system the same as mine?

On my Astra, the amplifier was near the base of the antenna, in the roof lining. I didn't get the exact error message as you, but it was radio related. If you're not comfortable checking it yourself, a workshop will be able to diagnose it quickly.

Thanks for the info! Turns out the antenna was indeed defective. I had it replaced at the workshop for 255€. Radio is now working perfectly!

I had a similar issue with my 2012 Opel Astra. The radio would cut out constantly and was full of static, especially in areas with tall buildings. Did you check the signal amplifier? That was the culprit in my case.
