Xterra Low Tire Pressure ABS and Steering Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Nissan Xterra was experiencing a persistent low tire pressure warning, intermittent ABS light, and steering issues. Despite checking tire pressures, the problem persisted. The likely cause was identified as a defective valve in one of the tires, which can lead to a slow leak affecting ABS and steering. After replacing the valve and recalibrating the tire pressure monitoring system, the issues were resolved.

Thanks. How could a defect there cause all these symptoms? I get the low tire pressure warning, but how would that affect the ABS and power steering?

A defective valve stem can cause a slow leak, hard to observe. Low pressure affects the ABS and steering. It will worsen. Take it to a workshop.

I took the Xterra to a workshop, and they found a defective valve in one of the tires. The repair, including replacement and recalibration of the tire pressure monitoring system, was 280€. The symptoms are gone now. Thanks again for your help.

Possible, but not likely given all the symptoms. The persistent low tire pressure warning, combined with ABS and steering issues, suggests a potential fault in the valve in tire. Have you looked at that?
