XTrail AC failure
Summary of the thread
The 2022 Nissan XTrail Hybrid experienced an AC failure, with no cooling and a warning light indicating an error. Initial speculation suggested a possible fuse issue, but further discussion pointed towards a defective air conditioning control unit as a likely cause. A workshop diagnosis confirmed the control unit was indeed the problem, leading to a planned repair.

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't checked for leaks specifically, wouldn't know what to look for. I'd have to get the error code read again. Is it possible a defective air conditioning control unit is causing this? I saw something about that online.

A defective air conditioning control unit is a strong possibility, especially with those symptoms and the stored error. While it could be minor, it's probably beyond a simple DIY fix. To prevent further damage, I recommend a workshop. They can accurately diagnose it.

Thanks so much for your advice! The shop confirmed it was the air conditioning control unit. The repair will cost around 980€, but at least it'll be fixed. Appreciate the help!

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my 2018 Skoda Octavia petrol. The symptoms were almost identical. Did you check for leaks around the AC compressor? That was my problem. What error code is it showing?
