XTrail AdBlue Error No Start
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Nissan XTrail diesel is experiencing an AdBlue error related to the SCR catalyst, resulting in the engine not starting. The issue may be due to a defective AdBlue output from the tank to the dosing unit, despite the tank being recently filled. A similar problem was resolved by repairing the defective output, suggesting this as a potential solution. Booking a workshop appointment to inspect the AdBlue system is recommended.

Yeah, the dashboard was displaying a warning for a while before things got this bad. So, it sounds like you've dealt with something similar. Was it definitely the AdBlue system causing the no-start issue? And was it something to do with the injection system?

Yep, pretty sure it was the AdBlue. I ended up taking it to a workshop. They said the output from the AdBlue tank to the dosing unit was defective. Cost me around 250€ to get it sorted.

Thanks a lot for the info! I suspected it might be something like that. I'll get it booked into a workshop to get the AdBlue output checked. Fingers crossed it's a similar fix and price. At least I know what to tell them to look for.

Hey, I've got an XTrail too. Sounds familiar! Was the dashboard lit up before it refused to start? Wondering if your DEF fluid system is acting up like mine did.
