Despite this, the $160,000 hybrid battery initially seemed salvageable—until closer inspection revealed otherwise.
Faced with dead hybrid batteries, Tavarish made a bold decision to remove the hybrid drive assembly entirely, transforming the P1 into a purely powerful machine. This was no small feat; it required stripping the car to its core and dealing with the intricate maze of wires, hoses, and connectors. The car was essentially crammed with components, a challenge that Tavarish tackled head-on.
At around the 06:35 mark in the video, Tavarish demonstrates the capabilities of our Carly diagnostic tool using an Audi. He starts by connecting our OBD Adapter, showcasing the ease of setup.
