Hey there, it sounds like we're dealing with the same beast here. I had to sit through a similar situation with my Nissan Serena a while back. Your description is hitting scarily close to home. Your response got me curious, though. Do you happen to remember how much that repair ran you? And have there been any other issues with the engine or fuel system since you got it fixed? Cheers and fingers crossed for a smooth fix!

Hey, yep we're definitely talking about the same creature here. Ah, right! I almost forgot to mention the cost part. The whole sensor debacle set me back by 95€, which included getting the intake manifold pressure sensor wiring harness sorted. As for your other question about any follow-up issues - well, I took my Nissan Note for a rigorous test drive after getting it back from the garage and I'm glad to say it's been smooth sailing ever since. The engine's running great, no more jerks on acceleration or shaky idling. And fuel efficiency is back to normal. I can safely say that getting that pesky sensor fixed really did the trick. Long story short, it's been well worth the cash and hassle! All the best to you and your Serena, fingers crossed it'll be back to normal in no time! Cheers!

Thank you both for sharing your experiences and the advice. To answer your question, I haven't gotten it fixed yet but I intend to book an appointment ASAP. It's a bit of a relief hearing that it might be the same issue you both dealt with and not something more complex. Now, knowing what the procedure's like and how you've had no more hassle since is really reassuring, even if it took effort to get sorted. 95€ doesn't sound too shabby considering it's essentially getting my ride back to its normal self. Appreciate your words, really made me feel a bit more confident going into this. Let's hope my Serena's back on the road soon and the engine sounds as good as new! Cheers for the help, boys. Have a good one!

Hey, I hear you. I had a somewhat similar issue with my 2013 Nissan Note not long ago. Let me tell you, the symptoms sound awfully close to what I experienced. The engine on mine was also running rough, just like you described, and the fuel efficiency was the pits. Turns out, the intake manifold pressure sensor wiring harness was indeed open, causing all the mess. The garage guys were thorough, as they needed to fix the wiring harness and reset the error code due to the malfunctioning sensor. It was a pretty taxing job because the intake manifold pressure sensor's placement isn't accessible without some dismantling. In the end, it was a serious issue, right enough, since it was messing with the engine's performance and fuel efficiency. It wasn't a quick fix but necessary to get the car back to normal. Don't ignore this. Acting fast makes all the difference. Hope everything turns out well for you, just like it did for me in the end. Good luck!
